Project: Identity for the Go Smoke free campaign
Client: Marrickville Council

Marrickville Council has introduced a Smoke-free Outdoor Environments Policy to encourage a healthier, cleaner and greener community.

Council's policy aims to support both non-smokers and smokers to reduce their exposure to cigarettes by restricting smoking in certain areas where cigarettes cause harm to the community.

They wanted a campaign that was positive as well as lending itself to a degree of flexibility keeping in mind that people are being asked not to smoke in places where it has previously been permissible. 'Live, play, laugh' are suggestions of healthy alternatives to smoking whilst standing outside a building, waiting for a bus or at a sports ground. 'Drink, eat, chat' are the alternative suggestions when sitting in the outdoor area of a cafe.
